The SU is robbing activity of the north-south basalt wall that runs along the eastern limit of the Area (SUs 2290, 2291 and 2292). The robbing cut cuts SU 2239 (an east-west tufo wall), suggesting that the cut postdates the construction of the tufo wall and presumably the 2nd c. BCE house. This suggests that the north-south wall also postdates the east-west tufo wall, but this is not certain. The fill of the cut was not documented separately. The cut is filled by SU 2281 (a natural accumulation layer). The cut was identified based on obvious gaps in the north-south wall construction limits of the cut, delineated by the width and depth of the north-south wall.
