Based on the rock inclusions, the soil matrix, and the nature of the layer below, this is probably a post-abandonment accumulation layer. This is supported by the fact that the soil layer uncovered appears to directly touch the extent of the foundation trench on the southwestern border. This layer was subject to some sort of disturbance. No floor associated with the foundation trench or wall SU 2276 on the southwestern side of the SU has been identified.
