This is the fill of the foundation trench for wall 2276. The construction cut (2348) was easily identifiable as this fill was excavated. Fill consisted of fairly dense packing of small basalt and grey tufo stones that stopped abruptly at the base of the wall foundation/construction cut. The northern limit of the cut/fill appears to have been disturbed by the robbing activity of the middle section of wall 2276, while to the south it has been truncated by the same activity that heavily disturbed this entire part of Area C.
