During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as a linear deposit of stones stones running from north to south appears to be the western limit of Space 1 during Phase 1A, creating a rectangular space bounded on four sides by irregular stone foundations and measuring roughly 7.6 m x 3.09 m. Based on the position of this space, fronting the eastern Area C road (as well as partially based on its later use as such) it is possible that this served as an entryway into the building already in Phase 1A.
Linear deposit of stones associated with SUs 3294 and 2393 (to similar linear deposits that run E-W). These stones are possibly associated with drainage/construction for the cocciopesto floor surfaces removed in the 2015 season.
Intentional linear deposit of stones surrounded by very compact soil. Possibly related to earlier phase or drainage feature.
Series of linear deposits of stones in area C.
