During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as either an abandonment deposit or leveling deposit sitting between the Phase 1B and 2 buildings. Because of the compressed stratigraphy between the two phases, it is not possible to isolate a single function for this deposit.

2015-08-01 J Troy Samuels

The SU is a large compact deposit that is likely some type of floor surface, or leveling for a floor surface.
