Large natural layer with varying concentrations of pottery and other inclusions. Layer below contains a greater concentration of pottery and tiles in larger pieces, and is more compact and more yellow in color than SU414. At the bottom of SU414 in the top of the layer below there was a greater concentration of gray tufo and brown tufo with white inclusions. There was a greater concentration of the brown tufo to the east and slightly north of SU418 and along the east edge of SU386. Excavation was halted on an artificial southwest-northeast line 1.5m north of 418 in order to focus on other areas. To be completed in 2011.
