Three tufo blocks (---------) exposed during previous soprintendenza excavations - the Eastern most of which has a semi-circular cut. These blocks sit atop concrete 5536 which in turn abuts early tufo wall 5437 and covers large ashlars 5438. SU 5524 is covered by another layer of concrete which extends under wall 5363 which these blocks also sit on and to the West. These blocks seem to represent a Southern limit of room 11 later and reusing previous walls and blocks 5437 and 5430 but earlier or possibly just one side has consolidation associated with cement wall 5363. The purpose of the circular cut remains unknown.
