A glareate road surface laid on top of basalt-paved road 6039. It seems to have been laid down when the level of the the main thoroughfare (Via Gabina) was raised by the last (imperial) basalt pavement, in order to regrade the side street to communicate with the main thoroughfare. More to be understood by excavation of this layer in future seasons.
