Although now connected as one cut, it is possible that SU 8103 represents multiple phases of cutting activity. The circular western portion may have been a circular cut smilar to 8061 et al., before its eastern walls were removed by the cutting activity that created the rectangular portion of the current cut. The curved rocky deposit may have been deposited later to turn the rectangular cut into a smaller, circular cut, modifying it to allow it to hold a smaller round vessel. Alternatively, the rectangular cut may has been created first, with the circular portion added later, potentially in relation to the circular space created by the rocky deposit. These cuts would then have likely held storage vessels, probably in phase with the other circular cuts nearby.
