SU 8249 is a layer sitting within an eroded area within Room I8, where floor SU 8068 has degraded. It may in fact represent the very bottom, slightly more compact portion of SU 8086, which covered this SU and was interpreted post-abandonment collapse of building material.Thus the gray color is due to the presence of mortar in this material.
