This SU is a decorative socle that lines the bottom of wall 8119. The pieces of worked marble rectangles still inlaid in the protruding mortar socle of this SU, as well as a mosaic floor (SU 8380) and holes for possible additional revetment attachments in all the walls in room I-18 suggest that this room was once richly decorated.
