May be related to other upright vessels found in layers or sitting on the bedrock across Area B. The function of these vessels is still unclear.

Unknown Date Unknown Author

Damaged and fragmented, but largely complete inverted vessel. Located below/within collapse layer SU1030. The vessel is not thought to be located in its original situation. However, its well-preserved state perhaps suggests that it has not moved far from its original location and is thought to have become incorporated into collapse layer SU1038. Proximity to burial SU1026, (and also example of funerary vessel SU1025) may indicate that this pot also represents a redeposited funerary vessel. Contexted separately from SU1030 to allow investigation of fill SU1038.
