This SU was defined around a possible robbing trench of the north-south wall SU 2245. No clear cut edges were identified during the excavation. Some stratigraphic changes in the SU could be indicative of robbing activity, with the central area of the SU having brown soil, while the sides are orange/red. The inconsistent color change makes positive identification of a cut problematic. Degradation of the tufo wall and natural accumulation is a possible interpretation of the fill.
