During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as a deposit of stones and soil abutting wall foundation 2256 in the southeastern corner of Space 1B-7 that might be related to the spoliation of the slab floor and the later refilling and leveling of the space for the construction of the cocciopesto floors in Phase 2.
