This feature was documented after its excavation. See 3143 for greater detail. Because of the concentration of burned material surrounding this, the clear cut into ashy 3171, the vessel found within (originally thought to be a cooking stand, but unlikely) and it's resemblance to a similar feature at the auditorium site, this was deemed to be a hearth.
