SU 5449 is a red tufo paved floor surface located in the northeastern corner of Room 14. The red tufo ashlar walls, SU 5439 and 5440 form the northern and eastern limits of SU 5449; the western and southern limits are difficult to define due to erosion and possible collapse. 5449 is in phase with 5440 and 5439. There is a circular shaft cut through SU 5449; from this and its construction of medium sized tufo we can conjecture that SU 5449 was the pavement of an outdoor courtyard.
