After study, this cut was determined to belong to phase A-0a and associated with terrain management. However, the cut is broader and shorter than others in the area and runs north to south. Its limited extension makes the interpretation difficult, but it might be another feature associated with drainage, or with the foundation trenches for narrow, non-structural walls or upright stones intended to retain soil, or with another unknown purpose.
This linear cut may be associated with the other linear cuts in the bedrock in the immediate vicinity (e.g. SU510), which may be for drainage or wall foundations assocaited with a structure or zone or habitation.
