This SU is a decorative socle that lines the bottom of wall 8012 in room I-18. All large walls in room I-18 have evidence of this socle on their bases (8119, 8133, 8119, and 8012). The pieces of worked marble rectangles still inlaid in the protruding mortar socle of this SU, as well as a mosaic floor (SU 8380) and holes for possible additional revetment attachments in all the walls in room I-18 suggest that this room was once richly decorated.
