Owing to the various distinct inclusions and soil types, the SU was likely dumping activity of various deposits during the post-abandonment period. Thus, the layer was excavated as one SU.

Marble 10 1.573 5 carrarra rectangular slabs, finished on long edges, and rounded on one short edge- other edges are broken; 1 thin slab of slate, 2 rough marble chunks, 2 thin rectangular slabs from opus sectile floor, with grey veins
Mosaic Tile 34.36 Weighed and processed on July 2nd by Leah Bernardo-Ciddio. 1 cassetta full of loose tesserae, 2 cassette full of chunked sections of intact mosaic. Chunked sections were retained, along with 2 sets of representative samples from the loose tesserae. One representative sample represents the dominant type of tesserae found in this SU, being small, cubed, and either white or grey; the second sample comprises c. 20 long (finger-length) grey tesserae similar to those recovered from the mosaics in Area I (recovered by A. Creola, J. Farr, and team) in the 2018 season.
Plaster 52 3.211 6 fragments with worn surface (.317 kg), 8 fragments with pink stripes against white background (.378 kg), 9 fragments with pink background (.416 kg), 5 fragments dark red background (.219 kg), 17 fragments white or too encrusted to tell coloration without further cleaning (1.107 kg), 1 fragment with stucco molding displaying a continuous ridge above a line of dentils (.336 kg), 1 fragment with yellow background (.109 kg), 1 fragment with interface between yellow and red fields (.024 kg), 1 fragment green or blue background (.065 kg), 1 fragment with dark red interfacing with indeterminate stripes (.055 kg), 2 joining fragments with the interface between dark red field and pink field, divided by white and blue stripe (.185 kg).
Plaster 10 0.174 Size range 1-6. 2 white, 1 without surface, 1 yellow, 2 dark red, 2 white with narrow red stripes, 1 white interface with pink, 1 bright pink. These plaster fragments discovered 03/07/19 in an additional cassetta and added to the cassetta already processed.
