During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as either an abandonment deposit or leveling deposit sitting between the Phase 1B and 2 buildings. Because of the compressed stratigraphy between the two phases, it is not possible to isolate a single function for this deposit.

The SU is a deposit of sediment either associated with floor leveling for the later Republican structure, or left from excavations in 2011 or from cleaning the excavations at the beginning of 2015.
