This SU consists of mortar with large tile and stone inclusions. This SU appears to be bonding together two ashlar blocks (SU 6125 and 6123) in order to make a pier feature. This pier would have likely served as a base for a column or supporting feature for a roof of a portico spanning the length of G-1 and perhaps G-20. There are similar pier features to the east and west, indicating a possible portico. The presence of mortar as well as tiles used under the ashlar blocks (SU 6125 and 6123) suggest that these blocks were reused, and this pier would belong to a late phase of building (possibly imperial).
