A cut of uncertain function and phase, at the northeastern corner of Room 4 (immediately NE of the corner of walls 7108/7204. The fact that its limits seem to partially overlap with later cut 7058 complicates our understanding. It may be related to what appear to be late occupation surfaces to the west, immediately adjacent to the Via Gabina (7250), at the very least it might have been reopened in this phase. But given the presence below of a regular, circular cut in the bedrock that partially corresponds to the limits of this cut (and may be related to a well feature), this cut may be connected either to the spoliation of a structure associated with that bedrock cut (e.g. a wellhead), or to the reopening/maintenance of the cut.
Deep cut between wall 7204 and basalt Via Gabina.
