This layer is immediately beneath the topsoil that covers several architectural features (in particular, walls). It seems to be a more recent silty deposit of the kind found throughout the site.
This is a heavily disturbed layer of soil. The layer seems to have been mixed by a modern plow. Some of the rubble in this layer appears to have been parts of collapsed walls mixed in the soil by the plow.
